Glenda Shulleeta

Glenda Shulleeta creates abstract art inspired by family, faith and everyday life.  Known for her portrayal of barns, churches, angels, flowers and vibrant colors. Glenda paints purely by memory relying on her imagination and use of various techniques to create texture and movement in the paintings.

The lifelong artist is a former award-winning art teacher and renowned interior designer, but more importantly, a wife, mother of three, and grandmother of four boys who affectionately know her as “Yaya!”

She has a bachelor’s degree in interior design from Virginia Commonwealth University and earned accredited teaching qualifications from the University of Richmond.

I’ve been an artist as long I can remember and have a passion for how design and colors blend to create beauty and intrigue. But I only truly found myself as an artist after teaching young students -- seeing how they keep art simple and fun, while letting their imaginations roam free.   I love art and seeing the joy and emotion it has on people”.
