Greg Youngs

Greg Youngs was born in Syracuse, New York, but considers himself a Richmond native after more than 30 years in the Richmond area. After painting in different media and genres, Greg focuses on portrait and still-life work in watercolor and oil.

Greg states, “My goal as an artist is to convey my inner vision through paintings of people and nature. My specialty is children and animal portraits. I find it exciting to bring my subjects to life in my paintings.” He has taught watercolor at St. Mary’s, Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical College of Virginia campus, Monument Senior Center, Crossroads Art Center, and Uptown Gallery. He currently teaches private art lessons.

Greg has exhibited extensively throughout Richmond and the surrounding area. Portrait commissions range from $450 to $2,000.
