Kim Hall
Virginia native Kim Hall grew up surrounded by art, having a painter for a mother, it was a natural path to follow. Her art career has taken on many forms, starting with graphic design after college then furniture making and decorative painting, all the while circling back to her true passion of painting.
A few years back she discovered with the urging of some painting buddies, the joy of painting outdoors and she hasn’t looked back. With this new found focus she quickly found success in the rapidly growing plein air movement. Kim has traveled the country participating in numerous juried plein air events and racking up more than a few awards along the way.
Whether she’s participating in an organized event or out painting on her own, her favorite thing is to find a side road that looks promising and quickly get lost looking for that next painting spot.
Kim received a BA in Fine Art from George Mason University and continued her studies at The Corcoran School of Art. Her work is in public and private collections throughout the country.
