Mary Jager

Mary Jager is recognized for her watercolors and oils. Her love of nature, wildlife, and a simpler time and way of life has always been reflected in her paintings, which chronicle the details sometimes missed by others. She incorporates elements of nature, from the beauty of the landscape or seascape to the drama that develops. Her work reflects a careful observation and record of life’s simple pleasures, extending an invitation to the viewer to enter a painting and complete the experience.

Her works are juried into many fine arts and waterfowl and wildlife festivals in Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina, where she continues to sell her award-winning art. Her memberships include the Chincoteague Carvers and Artists Association, the Chincoteague Natural History Association, the Bon Air Artists Association, and the Virginia Watercolor Society.
