At sunrise in White Pocket, an incredibly remote, otherworldly corner of northern Arizona, I waited for the sun's first rays to set these ancient swirling sandstone domes aglow. The light lasted only a moment, but the still pool of water caught it too, doubling the fire before the day washed it away.
