Seeing wonderful images appear within daily materials such as concrete floors, doors or windows can be magical when you look for them. Such was the case for me when I saw a design within a section of a concrete floor that reminded me of the work by artist Joan Miro.
Artist's Statement:
With a focus on photography and mixed-media printmaking, I have directed my most recent works toward combining the two disciplines. In addition to traditional fine art photography, I began exploring and further developing a print-making technique I refer to as Progressive Frame Imaging (PFI). In its simplest definition, PFI is a multi-layer, ink-over-ink print making process not dissimilar to that of lithography, wood block or silk-screen printing. With Progressive Frame Imaging, digital printers replace the ink transfer mediums of stone, wood or screen.
