Departing from my usual paintings of flowers and fruit, this work focuses on a handmade toy and the imaginative world it evokes. I was drawn to its worn surfaces, faded paint, and sense of quiet movement. Through close observation and tonal shifts, I aimed to preserve its imperfect character and the emotional resonance embedded in it’s history.
