My love of the ocean touches me in the sounds of its waves, the smell of salt air, and the mysterious environment it creates with every changing tide. For me, it is what I feel as much as what I see. Through an approach of abstract realism, I strive to capture both.

Artist's Statement:

With a focus on photography and mixed-media printmaking, I have directed my most recent works toward combining the two disciplines. In addition to traditional fine art photography, I began exploring and further developing a print-making technique I refer to as Progressive Frame Imaging (PFI). In its simplest definition, PFI is a multi-layer, ink-over-ink print making process not dissimilar to that of lithography, wood block or silk-screen printing. With Progressive Frame Imaging, digital printers replace the ink transfer mediums of stone, wood or screen.
