Paula Makielski

Paula Makielski studied art at Lynchburg College and attended graduate school at the University of Virginia. Marriage, three children, and a career as an English instructor and civil servant intervened, and the years flew by. Fifty years later she returned to art, studying at the the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Studio School and also with Christaphora Robeers. She is a member of the James River Art League, and she has shown at Uptown Gallery, James Center, and St. Mary’s Hospital. She has also shown in juried shows at Crossroads Art Center. Paula says, “I paint what interests me, be it people, buildings, machines, or landscapes.”
