I was inspired to create this piece of art of Jimmy for his achievements which ties him with Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt for the most NASCAR Cup Series championships in history with five consecutive being a NASCAR record.

The photo-realistic paintings of contemporary/traditional artist Richie Mosley offer a glimpse of the hidden, intricate lives and landscapes of his subjects. Arresting for their startling, finely detailed rendering, Richie’s paintings—which express his passion for art, jazz, and the spiritual side of life—garner attention and praise wherever seen.
After a successful career in pencil portraits, Richie transitioned to color paintings to appeal to a broader audience. Working in acrylics, watercolor, and color pencil, Richie’s vibrant portraits and landscapes give viewers a purposeful, spiritual look into the everyday lives of his subjects. Area exhibitions of Richie’s recent work include VMFA Studio School Art Gallery in Richmond, VA and the Perkinson Center for the Arts in Chester, VA.
Richie currently lives in Chester, VA. When not drawing or painting, he enjoys playing the trumpet for the Richmond Concert Band and spending time with his family and friends.
