My Beautiful Body series is a celebration of all of the different types of women's bodies, and the beauty that can be found in each one.
Artist's Statement:
I took my first pottery class in the fall of 2019 and immediately fell in love with the challenges and complexities of learning to throw on the wheel.
There is something so meditative about the rhythm of the wheel and the conversation I'm having with the clay. I am still awed by the process of taking mud and making something beautiful and functional, that will last for generations. My pottery celebrates the lines and curves of nature, covered in rich color combinations.
