Artist's Statement:

My favorite description of auto racing is “a place where insanity and reason co-exist”.

Using oil pastels and pencils, I strive to capture that very essence of the sport. 

With oil pastels, I create rich, textured surfaces that embody the complexity of my subjects -- the insanity, if you will. Pencil provides the reason -- the precision of fine details and subtle nuances. 

This combination of materials weds bold intensity with subtle layering, a combination which, while often messy and complex, is rife with meaning. balancing racing's vibrant emotion with its engineering heartbeat.

I invite those who see my art to pause, reflect, and connect, exploring the human experience through the lens of realism. Every detail becomes a portal into deeper understanding.
