Artist's Statement:

I am a Richmond, Virginia based painter who graduated from VCU’s Fine Arts program in 1988. Working primarily in acrylics, collage, and mixed media, I build layered, color-rich surfaces where figures emerge like memories. My work explores emotional states and the traces of lived experience, inviting viewers into a reflective, introspective space. The process of layering, covering, and revealing allows me to slow down, find balance, and appreciate the quiet moments within everyday life.
