Inspired by the many individual paths or journeys in life. With bold brushstrokes and vibrant colors, I created a visual representation of how our lives are interconnected no matter which path we choose.

Artist's Statement:

My art evolves from inspiration from Nature, the flash of iridescence in a small stone or the etched and time-worn surfaces of a seashell. A stream cascading through patches of shade and sunlight beneath a canopy of mountain pines. The ever-changing display of shimmering reflections and glowing color as the sun slips into the ocean. From the simple to the grand, these moments of profound beauty offer an abundance of joy, inspiration, insight, and endless possibilities to explore creatively. The imagination and energy devoted to the creation of my paintings are my offering of gratitude.                                                             

Born in Richmond, Virginia, I grew up near the banks of the James River, between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean. I developed a strong interest in both art and Nature at an early age, and they have always played a central role in my life. Art and the making of art have given me much joy and a special awareness and appreciation of life, gifts that I wish to share.
