Painted from life as Reggie posed poolside, this portrait captures his relaxed confidence and unmistakable sense of cool. The hat, sunglasses, and easy posture give him a natural presence that feels composed without being posed. I completed the painting in the studio, preserving the immediacy and character of the original sitting.

Artist's Statement:

Art is about nourishment. It feeds the soul. From the start of each painting, I strive to capture the essence of the subject through a process of discovery combining curiosity, analysis, and intuition. Compelling paintings are founded on the visual artist's unique work flow -- eye, brain, heart and hand. Art fosters interconnections capable of touching the deepest parts of a human being.
