Unfolding in serene winter tones of white, clean lines meet quiet expanses of light. Gold movement weaves gracefully throughout, adding a sense of warmth and fluid elegance. This work feels ethereal, like a breath suspended in stillness.
Artist's Statement:
For several years as a young man growing up outside of Philadelphia, I was very fortunate to study art under the amazing abstract artist, Barbara Crawford. In the early 1970s my family moved to Greenville, South Carolina where I continued to create art on a limited basis. Then, on to college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I married my college sweetheart, Bonnie, and moved to Richmond, Virginia where I took a hiatus from art, joined the corporate world and focused on helping raise two phenomenal children. Recently, I have been able to, again, embrace my love of abstract art. Believing that an abstract canvas is an essential component of the abstract experience, I design, build, stretch, paint and frame all of my unique work. I’ve often said that the complexity of my work can be found in its simplicity.
