Sunny Stack Goode

“A painting should make you feel something.”

A graduate of Hollins University. Sunny says of her work, “Color is how I communicate. Even in my earliest memories, color was the primary voice It is not surprising that I became an artist and love to paint. I believe a painting should make you feel something. Looking back at my practice, my evolution as an artist can be seen in the lines and shapes, but primarily in the colors I use. Quite simply, painting brings me joy. I often think of it as my mental yoga.” Goode readily acknowledges that some of her landscape painting is influenced by noted artist, Wolf Kahn, but says her work has a lighter, more feminine feel.  More recently Sunny has expanded her range of work creating artwork with a visual message of LOVE. She is constantly evolving in the world of art.

Her work has been featured in Southern Living, Traditional Home, Coastal Living and The Washington Post. Sunny lives and works in Richmond, Virginia and is represented by galleries in Virginia, Florida, North Carolina and Washington, DC.
