Crossroads Art Center and 2 Tickets and a Map are teaming up with Intrepid Travel for an incredible small-group adventure through one of the most fascinating countries in the world. And we’d love for YOU to come with us!
We’re putting together our own group of up to 20 travelers for 15 days filled with history, art, culture, food, spectacular scenery—and plenty of adventure.
And for art lovers, Turkey itself is a work of art. 🎨 From Istanbul’s magnificent architecture, colorful bazaars and centuries-old decorative arts to the intricate mosaics and ancient ruins of Ephesus, the traditional handicrafts of Kaş, and the otherworldly landscapes and rock-cut churches of Cappadocia, inspiration will be everywhere we look. This is a journey through thousands of years of creativity, craftsmanship, architecture and culture—and we can’t wait to experience it together.
This is for travelers who don't just want to see Turkey.
We want to experience Turkey. Come travel with us, make some new friends and collect the kind of stories you'll still be telling years from now.
And for those who want to make the adventure even more unforgettable, imagine watching the sun rise over Cappadocia from a hot-air balloon! 🎈 This optional experience is one of the highlights travelers can add to the journey.
This isn't about racing from tourist attraction to tourist attraction. Intrepid's travel style gives us a combination of experiences, local culture and free time to explore on our own.
We'll hike part of the ancient Lycian Way, share a home-cooked Turkish BBQ, cruise the Mediterranean, visit archaeological treasures, wander local markets and even have dinner with a local family in their Cappadocia cave home.

🧳 Reserved 10 travelers’ spaces but can add Up to 20 travelers if space allows. So don’t wait to sign up. Once we reach 10, we may or may not be able to add folks. It will depend on accommodations per Intrepid.

Cost Intrepid Travel part of Trip: $2,960 (Maximum Price) Published Price of this trip 2027 trip is $3395 ($435 savings) This price is based on 10 going on the trip. As we add more the price will go down.
Deposit: $400 Intrepid will need your full name as it appears on your passport and their date of birth. I can send you a payment link so you can submit your $400 deposit and be added to the trip.
Remaining Balance due: 120 days prior to departure
Flights - We suggest arriving at least 1 day before the trip starts. You can adjust to time change of 7 hours before the tour begins. We will have a travel agent assist you if you need flight help. Just let us know. Veronica and Jenni will fly out on Thursday, September 19 or Friday, September 20. Round-trip flights from Richmond (RIC) to Istanbul (IST) typically cost between $750 and $1,400.
