Victoria Gross was brought up in Long Island, New York. She graduated from Wellesley College and Yale University School of Medicine. She currently lives in Richmond, Virginia with her husband, Daniel and their two daughters, Audrey and Beatrice. She practices dermatology by day and paints by night and weekend. Victoria has always wanted to be a painter and after a long lapse (due to schooling and raising young children), she has taken up her brushes again and could not be happier. She is extremely grateful to have landed in Richmond where she studies under her favorite artist, Chuck Larivey. She paints with the Swimming in Paint team and is influenced by the knowledge, talent and dedication of her fellow artists. Victoria’s works are deeply personal. Through them, she explores what brings her joy and awe. They are at times portraits of objects that are meaningful to her and at times a journal of her travels at home and abroad. Victoria is moved by light, beauty and color. A true introvert, she loves to spend her time studying the natural world and finds deep meaning in this pursuit.
