Grade Crossing. Digitally edited film image on aluminum. A grade crossing on a short line railroad in Asheville. Original negative is Kodak Tri-X 120 film shot with a 1950s vintage Twin Lens Reflex camera. Limited edition of 12.

Artist's Statement:

I returned to serious photography after retiring. I started with film back when that was the only option. Now I work mostly with digital images, but occasionally make pictures on film with vintage cameras. I prefer floating metal prints with no frame. My favorite photos are the ones that make me smile every time I look at them. I currently live in Asheville, North Carolina and regularly travel up and down the east coast of the US and Canada.
