Richard Harding's work as a fiber artist is a reflection of his deep-rooted connection to the natural world and his fascination with indigenous cultures. Based in Ashland VA, he skillfully utilizes techniques found in basketry, incorporating chording sewn in concentric circles to create intricate and organic forms. Drawing inspiration from cultural parallels, particularly the interplay between basketry and pottery, Harding's creations are a fusion of tradition and contemporary expression.
