Imagine a young woman in a flowy dress spinning to the rhythm of the ambient tune at a summer music festival. A butterfly balloon in her hand. Spinning and spinning… So colorful and enchanting! I took a series of photos and later modified them into colorful digital abstracts. Embrace the music!
Artist Statement:
My passion for photography grew up with me. My dad was a self taught semi-professional photographer who taught me all film photography rules and secrets he knew. Under his guidance I learned to see the world as if I were looking at it through the lens all the time, noticing composition elements, colors, light and most of all- the beauty in everything around us- even the most mundane objects.
My favorite subjects always were nature, animals, plants but I also loved architecture, airplanes and travel photography. Gradually, my preferences started shifting from wide landscapes and documentary style to close ups and detail oriented shots, more abstract, conceptual art. And although it's something that not everyone feels and sees the same, I love creating photos that show the daily things from the different point of view. I like to portray the unexpected, unseen, overlooked details. Usually I still try to get it all as I want in the camera but sometimes I use Photoshop to alter my photos and create abstract images inspired by certain mood, music or idea. My husband is my greatest supporter and inspiration behind the music themed photo art
