My journey through Greece inspired these two mosaics, Aegean and Crete. Created with glass and ceramic tile, each piece reflects my personal impressions of the Aegean Sea and the Island of Crete. The brilliant blues of the Aegean Sea, the sunlit landscapes, and the timeless beauty of the Greek islands are expressed through layers of color, texture, and light. Rather than depicting a specific scene, these mosaics capture the feeling and spirit of the Aegean and Crete as I experienced them—vibrant, peaceful in some ways, and absolutely unforgettable.
