Catch and Release: A Limited Edition
13” x 18.5” x 3” Hand-Crafted Box Containing 200 Original 2.5” x 3.5” Paintings.
This collection, of magnum opus stature, consists of 200 original watercolor paintings, each representing a bass that the artist caught and released. Each of the paintings features the artist’s hand-written log that tells the date, location, and size of the fish. Individually, the paintings present a variety of themes and emotions and palettes. As a group, they chronicle the artist’s remarkable abilities with the medium as well as his caring eye for the characteristics of individual fish. Each painting is painted on archival watercolor paper affixed to mat board and framed in hand-applied gold metallic paint. The one-of-a-kind keepsake box, with a glass-window lid that features 3 of the artworks, was handcrafted for this project by master-framer Rick Michaels. This artwork, a mainstay of the artist’s personal collection, is now offered for sale.
(All financial proceeds that the artist receives are donated for autism research, education, and service.)
