Carl Wark is an ancient iron age fort situated out in the middle of the Derbyshire moorland, it's a very magical place but spectacular when the Heather is blooming.

Artist Statement:

I am an English artist currently living in Virginia.I grew up in The Peak District in Derbyshire and many of my paintings reflect the English countryside.I paint in oil and watercolor and often using heavy impasto to capture the essence of the landscapes I love. I also paint as we travel extensively in Europe and the United States.
