Gladiolus in a chinoiserie vase, I love depicting the flowers I actually grow in my Virginia garden, the Gladiolus were particularly good this year!

Artist's Statement:

My artistic practice delves into the liminal terrain between inherited heritage and lived experience. I studied studio art at Palm Beach Atlantic University. As a first-generation American, I navigate life through a rich third-culture viewpoint, a perspective that informs my exploration of Latin America's vibrant flora and fauna through the lens of my American upbringing. My work honors the tension of never feeling fully anchored in a single world, ultimately claiming the transformative power of belonging everywhere, creating a shared space where distinct, intersecting paths meet.
