Crossroads Coffee & Ice Cream is a staple of Richmond, and they often feature live music, such as Barry Bless, a talented local musician. While my rendering of his face is a piecemeal of my close friends and the blurry photo I was able to get, his eclectic style is what stood out to me and drove me to want to capture him in oils.
Artist's Statement:
There are many grand things, people, and places in this world. Often times we overlook the little things that don't seem as memorable in comparison to these grand things. In elevating these seemingly unimportant things, I seek to evoke a memory, a personal recall of the viewer's experiences.
I am a representation oil painter. When I am not painting or sketching, I am chasing around 3 boys and their dogs, reading, or boating the river and bay.
