Artist's Statement:
They say behind every woodworker is a wife who told him to put down the video game controller.
In my case, my wife's COVID-era sugar cookie empire to finally get the message. She suggested I get a real hobby. The hints weren’t subtle.
So, I did what any reasonable guy would do: I planned to make 25 cornhole boards. I bought the jig, the ¾" plywood, and built a custom vertical cutting rack. I was ready. Then I made one fatal mistake... I bought my first slab of walnut.
Plot twist: Zero cornhole boards were ever made. Live-edge hardwood completely hijacked my soul. Shortly after, Pinterest’s algorithm smelled blood in the water and flooded my feed with resin art and custom Edison lighting. I was defenseless.
Fast forward through a severe obsession with grain patterns, vintage tools, and glowing filaments, and here we are. Now I spend my time crafting handcrafted lights, live-edge tables, wine racks, and accent pieces—and I regret absolutely nothing.
Welcome to the madness!
