As a design artist, I am drawn to the way pattern tells a story across cultures and generations. Echoes of the Aegean emerged from my fascination with the decorative traditions of the Mediterranean—its painted ceramics, coastal architecture, textiles, and ornamental motifs that have endured for centuries.

 

Each piece begins as a hand-drawn sketch before being transformed into custom stencils and layered onto canvas through repetition. This process allows me to slow down, study each form, and create a visual rhythm that reflects both tradition and personal expression. The vibrant blues, turquoise tones, and touches of crimson are inspired by the sea, sky, and sunlit landscapes of the Aegean region.

 

Through this collection, I explore the connection between heritage, design, and memory. While these works are inspired by Mediterranean influences, they are also a reflection of my own artistic journey—honoring historic decorative arts while reimagining them through a contemporary lens.
