In a fleeting moment of childhood joy, children move freely through sunlight, mist, and rainbow spray. Their laughter, movement, and connection transform an ordinary public space into a celebration of innocence and freedom. I was able to capture not simply children at play, but the universal exuberance of being young.

Artist's Statement:

I am a documentary artist whose primary medium is photography. My work is driven by sustained observation, exploring the quiet intersections of people, place, and time. I am drawn to subjects that offer an immediate visual presence while revealing deeper layers of meaning over time, believing that significance often resides in the ordinary rather than the extraordinary.

In addition to individual images, I create long-term visual investigations of contemporary American life. My projects examine how individuals inhabit the landscapes they shape and inherit, and how everyday environments become repositories of memory, identity, and change. Through careful sequencing and the accumulation of images over time, I seek to create bodies of work that resonate beyond their immediate subject matter.

Photography allows me to engage with the world patiently and attentively. I am less interested in spectacle than in the enduring visual and emotional truths that emerge through repeated observation. My photographs invite viewers to slow down, look closely, and discover meaning within familiar places and overlooked moments.

My goal is to create work that is visually compelling, emotionally nuanced, and enduring—photographs that contribute to a larger conversation about contemporary life while standing as lasting works of documentary art.
