This image was created with an etching plate using a light transparent blue roll of ink for sky, after being inked with Intaglio inks. Watercolor added green and yellow highlights.

Artist's Statement:

My work speaks about the world of relationships - with our natural environment and with each other - layers, complexities, interactions, and juxtapositions. 

Exploring methods of Intaglio printmaking which use multiple colors is my current focus.  I am experimenting/learning to print all colors together in a simultaneous print or using more than one plate (different colors) to create an image. I love the surprises, learn from the failures, and am working to gain more control over a variety of etching techniques enriched by the use of color.
