Artist Statement: 

I am an Arlington VA born and bred artist who has been living and making art in Richmond, VA for the past 50 years. A former member of the Richmond Women's Caucus for Art and Art6 Gallery, I have shown and sold my work  in Richmond and various locales around VA.  I am currently working in mixed media with cold wax and oil , but have enjoyed extensively painting in acrylics on canvas. Some of my work has been likened to Chagall, and though I've learned much from viewing his work, I claim my own unique perspective. A dedicated cat (and dog and animal) lover, much of my work reflects that love and I am particularly interested in inter species love.  Angels and otherworldly subjects frequently appear in my work as I explore the impact of the unseen on my life and on those I have known. One of my aims is to make colors sing.
