Acrylic over Silver Enamel on Canvas, Framed

$390

Reverie pays homage to the delicate landscapes of Jean-Antoine Watteau (1684 – 1721) was a French painter whose brief career spurred the revival of interest in color and movement. He revitalized the waning Baroque style, shifting it to the less severe, more naturalistic, less formally classical, Rococo. Watteau is credited with inventing the genre of fêtes galantes, scenes of bucolic charm.

The under painting is done in silver enamel with the actual scenes painted in acrylic. This work is beautifully framed in black with a silver fillet.
