The Glimmer series emerged in February 2025 as I prepared for my Spring solo exhibition. Each piece was created instinctively, with a kind of frenetic urgency and high-energy mark-making. The works are often made with the canvases on the floor or on the ground outside. The process is always liberating - joyful, physical, and a little unruly.

Artist's Statement:

Caroline is an award-winning painter working in evocative cityscapes, vibrant still lifes and landscapes. Capturing introspective and fleeting moments, she mainly works in acrylics, studying light, saturation and unique color combinations.

Note from the artist:

I began my career as a graphic designer in a Los Angeles print shop. I fell in love with the smell of ink and the joy of flipping through paper samples. My love of flagrant and promiscuous use of color is obvious in my paintings. Cherished seconds of a diminishing sunset, lyrics of a song heard while gazing at flowers, consuming thoughts at a red light, the last sip of a drink with a confidante, these are the moments and feelings I capture in my work.
