Andrea Amacker grew up in a family of Artists giving her incredible exposure to all things creative!! Thanks to her Mother, her first art teacher, she has worked with many mediums in her life before committing to acrylics. She enjoys being able to layer paint with quick drying time and vivid colors to tell her story.
Andrea’s paintings reflect her love for nature with her focus on flowers. This has been a direct influence of her experience as a floral designer for more than 20 years. Her paintings range from close-up single flowers to vase arrangements.
“Flowers have and always will be a central part of my life”
Each of her paintings is a journey and challenge that evolves with layers and layers of color. She is grateful to have the opportunity to share her ideas of beauty, excitement, and peacefulness.
Her paintings have been shown locally in Carytown and Libbie Ave. Andrea has resided in the Richmond area for over 40 years. When she isn’t painting, she enjoys volunteering at the VMFA and spending time with her husband and two wonderful sons.
