Bev Perdue is a "signature "member of two prestigious international watercolor societies: the American Watercolor Society and the Transparent Watercolor Society.  She has twice won “Best in Show” in the Virginia Watercolor Society’s annual exhibition as well as being awarded “Best in Show” in the Southern Watercolor Society exhibition.  She has also been awarded in multiple other prestigious art competitions. As a past featured artist in both Artist and American Watercolor Artist magazines, she was called “ a Rising Art Star, ”.  Her work is currently represented in American and International galleries.

Many of her paintings are in corporate and private collections.  They include “Plein Aire” paintings on location in Italy, France, Spain, New Mexico, Colorado, Monhegan Island in Maine, Anguilla in the British West Indies and the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Bev teaches art workshops and volunteers teaching art at the Virginia Correctional Center for Women in Goochland, Virginia.  Teaching is a very rewarding experience for her, a way to give back.  In recent years, her art has expanded into oils and mixed media.  “My journey to create is forever evolving and I welcome the challenge of exploring new paths of art.  I have yet to paint my best painting”.
