I reused some newspaper and LLBean catalog pages. I thought the reaction of wax and the ink on the pages was very interesting.

Artist Statement:

This is a some of my work in encaustic wax. I have been using this medium for about four years and absolutely love the process and the final result.

Beeswax is mixed with damar varish and then melted and applied to a hard surface.  The darmar varnish allows for a final buffing and shine.
