Artist's Statement:

Sam Poulin has been painting for 30 years working in oil, acrylic, and watercolor. Although mostly focused on his design career for the last several decades, he never has lost his passion for painting. Sam's work is focused on evoking a sense of mood and memory through color, texture, and composition. His subjects range from pastoral and rustic landscapes to dense urban scenes. For the last several years, Sam has concentrated on mastering the elusive and often frustrating medium of watercolor. The unique properties of this medium lend themselves to this intent.
