While exploring Shenandoah National Park in early autumn, I rounded a bend and was presented with this dogwood tree, backlit by the early morning sun, awakened in a display of beauty.

Artist's Statement:

Exploring natural places and photography have been lifelong passions. The advent of digital photography rekindled in me the desire to learn, experiment, and improve my photographic skills. I am especially inspired by the natural world and wild places. Landscapes, waterfalls, and images that emphsize the abstract character of nature comprise much of my work.
Whether in black and white, or in color, my goal is to capture and refine images that I hope convey the essence of what I experience in the field. I love being able to share my vision of these special places.
