Janine Orr
Janine is a full-time artist whose bold, atmospheric oil paintings celebrate the beauty and spirit of the natural world. Drawing inspiration from landscapes, florals, and the distinctive scenery of Richmond, Virginia, she creates expressive works that follow the interplay of light, movement, and emotion.
Janine has been deeply immersed in the arts all of her life. After earning a BFA in drawing and painting, she built a successful career as an illustrator and later as a magazine Art Director. She later launched and served as president of an award winning publication design firm serving clients for 25 years in Washington DC, and nationwide.
Returning to oil painting in 2014, she has continued her art education with workshops from many prominent artists, embracing painting as a never-ending learning experience filled with experimentation and growth. Her works are held in notable Virginia collections, including the Virginia General Assembly Building - Old CIty Hall, VCU Medical Center, and numerous private residences.
