Kimberly Zook
Kimberly Zook is a mixed media artist based in Virginia. Her artwork is known for its creative eclectic style. From vibrant mosaics to lush abstracts, her paintings celebrate the spirit of nature. With an M.S. in Biology and an M.A. in Secondary Education, Kimberly left academia to live alone in her own casita in the cloudforests of Costa Rica. There she discovered the richness of biodiversity, which has become the inspiration behind her artwork. Through her bold simplicity and intense, earthy palette, Kimberly seeks to convey expressive and keen intuitive responses to the diverse natural world. Like Henry David Thoreau once said, “In wildness is the preservation of the world,” Kimberly’s art is dedicated to the wild beauty and conservation of nature.
