Lynne Watkins paintings are a search for nature’s essence-the heart of her energy. With more than thirty years as a professional consultant in residential color and design, Lynne returned in recent years to her true passion of painting. Her work captures an intimate sense of light and color, transforming paint and canvas into the mystery and poetry of her subject. Her distinctive use of color invites the viewer to linger and notice the sublime, storied nature of the Virginia landscape. Following a refresher course of study with artist Nicholas Wilton, Lynne is eager to share the most vivid and arresting work of her career thus far.
