Natalya Khabinsky

Natalya Khabinsky has always had a passion for making things; she started sewing when she was 10 years old. A few years ago, Natalya turned her attention to beaded jewelry. And while she enjoyed creating beaded pieces, she felt it was time to try something different. Recently, Natalya discovered the craft of wire weaving. It took a while for her to learn how to work with wire. “It's a challenging material, and the weaving process is complex." Each piece takes time, but she finds the process incredibly satisfying. Natalya is passionate about her work. She loves natural stones and likes to think of her pieces as a kind of frame for these gemstones, a way to enhance their existent beauty. Natalya works with both raw and colored copper wire and is always on the hunt for the most beautiful natural stones and handmade glass beads to best complement her wire creations.

From the artist -
I love flowers—field flowers, garden flowers, exotic flowers. It doesn't matter the flower; I love them all!  I'm happy that, with my jewelry, I've found a way to prolong their life. My goal with my jewelry is to display the wonder of nature. Flowers are fleeting, but with these pieces, you get to enjoy their beauty for a little bit longer. I really enjoy the whole process of putting a piece together—from cultivating the flowers or finding and collecting them, to pressing them and encasing them in the clear resin. The goal is to preserve them in their natural state and make you feel like you're constantly in the presence of fresh blooms. With my designs, I hope people will be inspired to see and appreciate the beauty of the world around us.
