Plastic Paradise #2 includes cut strips and bits from everyday food packaging mixed into the encaustic wax. This series is meant to expose the prevalence of often hidden plastics that are contaminating our global ecosystems.

Artist Statement:

I am a mixed media creative expressionist. Art is my passion.  I work intuitively, mixing reality with abstraction, creating from the depths of my soul.  I am inspired by the world around me. I work in a variety of mediums including oil, acrylic, fiber, inks, pencil, pen, pastels papers plus tile, stone and repurposed items.. I love the power of color, line, shape, value and texture to define the final design. My process is truly my own. I show my work throughout VA and NC and sell throughout the United States. My multifaceted fine art is powerful and expressive, pleasing my collectors. I work from my multiple home studios on Lake Gaston, NC.
