Man and nature are often at odds in making things. Man creates steel and iron. Nature makes trees. I combined the two.

Artist's Statement:

 With the advent of the digital age I started discovering new ways to interpret an image. I enjoy working a photograph through various levels of interpretation. There are endless possibilities with what my mind's eye sees which I could not do in a darkroom. The choices for reinterpreting a photograph are endless and I often create several options. I  then combine them in layers and see what happens. It is a slow process and can be wonderful surprise or be a disaster. These particular images resulted from combining industrial objects with those of nature.
