Swift Creek Artist Statement
The Swift Creek Artists’ passions for painting and their friendship evolved organically from an art class on the Swift Creek Reservoir. With no painting background, the seven painters from previous occupations honed their creative talents during class.
Originally seven strangers, their friendship developed as each inspired and encouraged artists in the group. With subjects ranging from seascapes, cityscapes, landscapes to wild and domestic life, all seven share a deep passion for painting and a belief in creating works of value.
All seven oil painters are juried members of the Bon Air Artist Association and have juried into exhibits across Richmond.
The seven Swift Creek Artists share the unwavering goal of creating a joyful and beautiful impressionistic view of the world.
