The words to “You’re a Grand Old Flag” echoed in my head when I saw this flag flying over Fort Sumter in Charleston. Here, where dissent sparked the Civil War, it was incredibly moving to see this symbol of our freedom flying against the southern sun. Our country’s survival of that rift lends hope that our nation and our freedoms will flourish forever.

Karen Taylor Davis seeks to capture life’s special moments and preserve those memories with her camera.
When shooting a portrait, it’s an emotional moment of connection. She preserves the excitement of special events with the tales she tells in her images. While enjoying nature, Karen’s photos reflect the various moods of her surroundings. Even inanimate objects share their own – or their owners’ – stories.
Karen’s goal is to inspire those who see her work to look more closely at those moments frozen in time and discover the hidden stories.
