This Irish lad's direct gaze and confident posture reveal his local status in the village of Kinvara, Ireland. He was thoroughly enjoying his and pint and his smoke outside the pub. His slight smile hints at his masked delight when the artist asked permission to paint his portrait.

Artist's Statement:

Art is about nourishment. It feeds the soul. From the start of each painting, I strive to capture the essence of the subject through a process of discovery combining curiosity, analysis, and intuition. Compelling paintings are founded on the visual artist's unique work flow -- eye, brain, heart and hand. Art fosters interconnections capable of touching the deepest parts of a human being.
