I had fun putting together this joyful piece using found objects. The freestanding sculpture consists of antique wooden shoe forms, wire candleholder, florist foil, plastic flowers, wooden beads and pipe cleaners.

Artist Statement:

As an artist, my work leans towards figurative art, and in some cases, it can be categorized as alla prima brush work or impressionism. I attribute this to my spontaneous depiction of the subject matter that to the passing eyes may only record it as a blur. My objective is to capture these fleeting moments for others to witness and enjoy.

I believe art should not only be decorative but also tell a story…to educate and stimulate the viewer. The spectator should never stop learning with unexpected wonder and enjoyment.
