This piece is about being overwhelmed and feeling trapped. This piece came to be in difficult time in my life as I contemplated leaving my marriage. Deeply personal and emotional, there is also a glimmer of hope and light.

Artist's Statement:

Born in Miami, FL and raised in El Salvador, Natalie’s artwork focuses on folk, fashion and nature elements. Her art experience includes Fashion Illustration, Editorial Illustration, Lettering and most currently Floral Design. This eclectic mix of experiences have shaped her work. Focusing on color, Natalie paints to connect to her audience’s sense of wonder and love of nature. Natalie currently lives in Ashland, VA with her 2 young sons and their cat.
